Hi, I'm Franky! I'm a trainer, athlete, and nutrition coach. I've been involved in fitness since 2012 and have been working with clients since 2014. Helping clients crush their goals and improve their strength and physiques is what I am passionate about! Whether your goal is fat loss, building muscle, or improving strength, it's my job to help you get there.
The Origin Story
I've always had a healthy appreciation for video games, movies, reading, and other activities that generally don't involve physical activity. I went to school for graphic design, which involved long hours of inactivity. During my time at university, I noticed my body was starting to hurt from spending upwards of 10 hours a day working at a computer, I was always tired, and... I was "skinny fat".
I began to wonder if I was just going to have to toughen up and learn to deal with the neck and shoulder pain that came with hunching over a desk all day. Was the pain going to get worse? Was I ever going to feel like I wasn't running on empty? And was I going to gain weight as I aged and my habits caught up with me?
Finally I decided to do something about feeling like crap all the time. So I joined a big box gym and started on my fitness journey. I had no idea what I was doing the first time I walked into the gym. I just messed around on the cardio equipment, and maybe used a weight machine if I was feeling brave.
And that's what I did for months. I never really pushed myself, so progress was minimal, but you know what? Working out made me feel better. Eventually I was confident enough to pick up a pair of dumbbells, and then a barbell. Once my head was in the game, I was confident enough to really push my body outside its comfort zone and I stared to see and feel real results.
Achievement Unlocked: Forged in the Heat of Battle
Working out made such a positive impact on my life. I felt better both physically and mentally. I looked better, and I was really enjoying seeing progress. Once I realized how much working out had changed my life, I decided I wanted to help other people do the same in their lives. So, I changed my major from graphic design to exercise science and got certified as a trainer. That was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love what I do and I am super proud of my amazing clients!
